Boil Water Notice Issued for Yosemite West Water System

May 17, 2023

RE: WATERLINE BREAK AND TEMPORARY SERVICE INTERRUPTION IN YOSEMITE WEST

We regret to inform you that a second break has been identified in the waterline within the Yosemite West area. Unfortunately, due to the location and the complexity of the required repairs, it has become necessary to temporarily shut off the water supply to all parcels, with the exception of those on Henness Ridge Circle.

Mariposa County Public Works is diligently working to resolve this issue and has initiated the process of engaging a qualified contractor to undertake the necessary repairs. We assure you that every effort is being made to restore water service to all affected areas as swiftly as possible.

Bottled water will continue to be available for affected residents at the County Yard, located on Henness Ridge Road. Recognizing the significance of having access to water for various purposes, including irrigation, sanitation, and other non-drinking needs, we are diligently working to ensure a timely solution. Mariposa County Public Works is actively working to establish a non-potable water supply source at the earliest convenience.

Further updates regarding the progress of repairs and the restoration of water service will be provided as new information becomes available. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to Mariposa County Public Works at (209) 966-5356.
