On Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 8:49 p.m., Emergency Communications received a call for a firearms violation at the McDonald's located at 5833 Northampton Boulevard. Preliminary investigations determined that the male suspect was inside the McDonalds and was in a dispute with employees in the restaurant. He exited the business and he began shooting a weapon outside of the building in the direction of the business. There were several employees and customers inside the restaurant at the time of the firearms violation. None of the occupants within the business were injured as a result of the shooting. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving at the McDonalds. The suspect is described as a black male. There is no further suspect information available at this time. This scene is still active while detectives are investigating this case. This case remains under investigation by members of the Department's Homicide Unit.
