DVSA Digital Service To Replace Physical MOT Certificates

DVSA Digital Service To Replace Physical MOT Certificates

23 Jan 2024 Posted By Joe Scotting

DVSA will stop printing MOT pass certificates from 29 April. They will issue them electronically as part of the new Manage Your Vehicle Testing digital service (MyVT).

This new service will capture data quickly and make test results available in real-time.

You can view or download MOT results from the MOT History Service as soon as tests are completed.

The MOT history service contains test records for vehicles and trailers. Only certificates from 2021 are available to view and/or download as required but you can see the test history of vehicles and trailers from up to 2018.

There may be some circumstances where operators will find it useful to print the certificate from the MOT history service, for example, if the vehicle is being used on an international journey.

DVSA encourage operators to start thinking about how their business can adopt these changes, if not already accessing MOT certificates digitally.

MyVT

All authorised testing facilities for MOTs (ATFs) and pre-funded account holders now have a digital account to manage their transactions with DVSA through MyVT.
