6 December 2019, Bangkok - Thai Union Group PCL. received the Innovation Excellence Award at the Thailand Corporate Excellence Awards 2019 for its outstanding work in innovation. The awards, from the Thailand Management Association (TMA), were given to Thai companies that contribute to the country's economy, development and competitiveness.

TMA has partnered with Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University for 17 years on the selection process for the awards, looking at companies that demonstrate longstanding work and expertise in different areas such as financial management, human resource management, marketing management, sustainable development, and innovation. Other awardees this year were leading Thai companies CPF, True Corporation, AIS, Thai Oil and SCG.
