BCA Students Visit Phoenix Theatres

LIVONIA, MICH. - Madonna University's Broadcast and Cinema Arts students and faculty recently had the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the world of cinema ownership thanks to a partnership with Phoenix Theatres.

Cory Jacobson, owner of Phoenix Theatres in Livonia, hosted the group for a special event that included a look at the inner workings of a modern movie theater. Students were able to witness the technical aspects of film presentation, including the intricate process of film investigation.

A highlight of the event was a screening of the new film, Dune 2, in Dolby Atmos. This cutting-edge sound system offers a fully immersive audio experience that places viewers in the center of the action.

"Dolby Atmos has revolutionized the way entertainment is both created and experienced," said Jacobson.

This partnership between Phoenix Theatres and Madonna University reflects a shared commitment to fostering the talents of aspiring storytellers. Phoenix Theatres is a Michigan-based cinema chain founded in 2000. The company is known for its commitment to providing exceptional customer service and innovative technology.
