New Hannaford supermarket and pharmacy in Brunswick to open on June 19
Cooks Corner store will feature extensive hot and cold foods bar and prepared meals section, drive-thru pharmacy and Hannaford To Go online ordering and delivery
Hannaford to mark opening with $5,000 in donations to Teens to Trails and Family Focus
Brunswick, Maine - Hannaford Supermarkets will open its new Brunswick store, located in the Cooks Corner Shopping Mall at the intersection of Bath and Gurnet Roads, on Saturday, June 19. The store will employ nearly 150 full- and part-time associates, including 90 new positions.
The new 50,000 square-foot Cooks Corner store will include a variety of features designed to create a convenient shopping experience, including a first-of-its-kind hot and cold foods bar offering ready-to-eat items such as hand-battered chicken; a self-service pizza station; chef-crafted sushi; and hot wings, amongst other fresh offerings made on-site daily.
Shoppers will enjoy an expansive selection of prepared grab-and-go meals, including pasta and taco meal kits and pizza flatbreads. The Cooks Corner store will also offer a variety of fresh produce with a focus on local vendors, as well as thousands of natural and organic products, and unique store-brand offerings such as Taste of Inspirations, Hannaford and Nature's Place.
The Cooks Corner store will offer curbside pickup and home delivery service via Hannaford To Go, a service which allows customers to order their groceries online. Delivery is also available for select zip codes in the Brunswick area. Hannaford To Go will be available beginning Thursday, June 24. Additionally, the store will feature a full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru.

'We look forward to welcoming shoppers to the new store and encourage them to join us as we celebrate this new addition to our community.'
To commemorate the opening, Hannaford will make a total of $5,000 in donations to two local non-profit organizations: Teens to Trails, which connects teens with life-changing outdoor experiences, and Family Focus, which provides affordable community-based services for families with children in the Mid-Coast area. Each organization will receive $2,500.
The Cooks Corner Hannaford & Pharmacy will offer the everyday low prices that customers expect from their local Hannaford, with the added benefit of My Hannaford Rewards, a program that allows users to earn a 2 percent rewards on all private brand purchases and receive personalized coupons. In celebration of the opening, My Hannaford Rewards customers will receive 4 percent rewards on all private brand purchases at the Cooks Corner store from June 19 through July 3.
Hannaford will operate 64 supermarkets in Maine with the Cooks Corner store opening. The Cooks Corner store marks the second Hannaford location in the Brunswick community. Hannaford will continue to operate the Maine Street store at its existing location in downtown Brunswick.
Every Hannaford store donates rescued food to local hunger relief, and regularly supports local charities and schools. Hannaford stores donated more than 25 million pounds of food, such beef and chicken; fruit and vegetables; pasta and eggs, for local hunger relief organizations in 2020.
