BSP hosts Thanksgiving Prayers in conjunction with 95th Anniversary

Bandar Seri Begawan, April 4, 2024 - Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn. Bhd. (BSP) hosted Thanksgiving Prayers in conjunction with its 95th Anniversary at the Berkshire Hall, Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club. Present at the event as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at The Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II.

Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister's Office; Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Farida binti Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talib, Permanent Secretary (Energy) at the Prime Minister's Office; Yang Mulia Hajah Latifah binti Haji Mahmud, Acting Permanent Secretary (Fiscal II) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy; and Yang Mulia Agnete Johnsgaard-Lewis, BSP Managing Director and Shell Country Chair Brunei Darussalam; as well as members of the BSP Leadership team and BSP staff.

In her opening remarks, Yang Mulia Agnete Johnsgaard-Lewis shared her pride and appreciation of BSP's rich history spanning over the last 95 years.

"For almost a century, BSP has been privileged to play a significant role in contributing to the country's growth and development - deep in my heart, I am grateful for our people, our partners, and our board of directors for their invaluable commitment, partnership, and guidance."

The event proceeded with a Doa Kesyukuran led by Yang Mulia Muhammad Najmuddin bin Haji Md Said, BSP's Religious and Guidance Counsellor, followed by a special talk facilitated by Yang Mulia Ustaz Awang Muhammad Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid.

The event also included a donation handover session to 39 Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BSJV) Companies orphans led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah.

2024 marks a milestone for BSP as it celebrates its 95th Anniversary since oil was first commercially discovered in Seria field. Since then, BSP has been at the forefront of the oil and gas industry in Brunei Darussalam, contributing to the country's growth and development.
