Lane restrictions on Hopkins Street in the Town of Whitby

Whitby, Ontario - The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Hopkins Street (Regional Road 36) in the Town of Whitby.

When: May 20 to June 28. Daytime only.Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Lane restrictions will be in place on Hopkins Street, from 50 metres north of Carlow Court to Burns Street East, in the Town of Whitby.

Why: The lane restrictions will be in place for the safe installation of water and sanitary services, and to widen Hopkins Street to support new development.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
