NorthShore Response to Unaffiliated Clinical Lab with Similar Name

NorthShore University HealthSystem is in no way affiliated with "Northshore Clinical Labs." We apologize to our patients and community members for any confusion they have experienced through communications or other experience with other unaffiliated labs. Our hospital labs have performed nearly 1 million COVID-19 tests, accurately and expeditiously since the beginning of COVID more than two years ago. We only do molecular testing, also known as the PCR test, which is the most accurate and sensitive test available. Thanks to the incredible work of our lab teams, our hospital system was the first in Illinois in March 2020 to implement a fully validated, in-house COVID-19 test based on the published CDC assay and in concert with IDPH. As a result, testing has been key to proper patient management throughout this pandemic, with the vast majority of our test results available in less than 24 hours.
