Congressman Kustoff Named Vice Chairman of Supply Chain Tax Team

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Congressman David Kustoff (R-TN) was selected by Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) and Tax Subcommittee Chairman Mike Kelly (R-PA) to be Vice Chair of the Supply Chain Tax Team. Congressman Kustoff will also sit on the Rural America Tax Team.

Republican members of the House Ways and Means Committee will form 10 Committee Tax Teamsto study key tax provisions from the Republican-passed Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (TCJA) that are set to expire at the end of 2025. They will also work to identify legislative solutions that will help families, workers, farmers, and small businesses struggling in the Biden economy.

"One of the Ways and Means Committee's top priorities is making permanent the tax cuts established through the Republican-passed TCJA," said Congressman Kustoff. "TCJA ushered in one of the strongest economies in American history and helped middle-class families across the country. If these provisions expire, American taxpayers will face significant tax increases. I am pleased to serve as Vice Chair of the Supply Chain Tax Team and will work to ensure these tax cuts are preserved for generations to come."

The House Ways and Means Committee is the chief tax-writing committee in the House of Representatives. Republican Committee members will form individual Tax Teams assigned to review specific areas of tax policy. The 10 Tax Teams are American Manufacturing, Working Families, American Workforce, Main Street, New Economy, Rural America, Community Development, Supply Chains, U.S. Innovation, and Global Competitiveness.
