State Police arrest Troy man who possessed and sold a stolen vehi...

Press Release

On April 26, 2024, State Police of Saratoga arrested Mousse Saiid, 42 of Troy, NY, for Grand Larceny in the third degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third degree, and Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree.

On April 8, 2024, Troopers received a complaint from a local car dealership that they had purchased a vehicle which was found to have been reported stolen from New York City in December 2023. The investigation determined Saiid allegedly sold the dealership a vehicle with a fraudulent title for more than $30,000 in March 2024 in Malta, NY. During the sale, Saiid was representing B&J Auto Sales in Rensselaer, NY, and the vehicle was listed for sale under that business name. The investigation determined the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) had been altered and modified and the title had been forged for the purpose of concealment.

Saiid was arrested at his Troy home and transported to SP Saratoga for processing. He was arraigned at the Malta Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
