Associated Press Sports Honors

Kurt Streeter won first place in column writing for Sports of The Times, a collection of columns offering opinion and analysis from the world of sports.

The team of Joe Drape, David Chen, Tiffany Hsu, Larry Buchanan and Karl Russell got first place in explanatory writing for their look at a sports economy ravaged by the pandemic.

Matthew Futterman finished second in the Projects category for his Sledhead series, a look at the dangers that sliding sports, particularly bobsled and skeleton, pose to the brain.
