Hall to deliver College of Nursing and Health Professions Commencement Address

The speaker for the College of Nursing and Health Professions Ceremony is Dr. Sandra Hall, a 2005 Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduate. She also holds a bachelor's degree in theatre and drama from Indiana University; a master's degree in nursing education and a master's degree in business administration with an emphasis in healthcare management, both from Western Governors University; a doctorate in nursing practice from California State University (CSU) Southern California DNP Consortium; and is also in the process of completing a doctorate in general psychology from Grand Canyon University.

Currently serving as the Director of Clinical Excellence at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Hall has played a pivotal role in collaborating with quality improvement and patient safety teams to monitor and enhance clinical outcomes. Her unwavering commitment to fostering collaboration and continuous improvement has set a benchmark for excellence in patient care.

In addition to her work in Los Angeles, Hall served as the System Director of Nursing Education at Wellstar Health System in Marietta, Georgia. In this capacity, her visionary leadership was evident as she oversaw nursing professional development practitioners across multiple facilities and specialty fellowship programs. Hall's dedication to evidence-based initiatives revitalized nursing orientation and integrated the Nursing Professional Development model into the standard work for the education team.

Hall's professional journey has been characterized by continuous growth and impactful contributions. From managing Professional Practice at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center to serving as the Magnet Program Director at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, her leadership consistently elevated nursing standards, leading to positive outcomes.

Acknowledging her contributions, Hall received the Outstanding DNP Student Award from the CSU Southern California DNP Consortium. Furthermore, her dedication was recognized through a nomination for the Morris and Mary Press Humanism Award at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the Master of Science in Nursing Capstone Field Experience Excellence Award from Western Governors University.
