Message of the Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias on the Word Day for Safety and Health at Work

The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, mentions in his message to the women and men of the Armed Forces, regarding today's World Day for Safety and Health at Work (28 April 2024):

"The securing of Health and Safety in every activity of our country's Armed Forces is our highest priority, since their personnel constitutes their most essential force multiplier.

The workplace of the Members and the Enlisted Soldiers of the Armed Forces constitutes a high-risk environment.

Due to the nature of their mission as well as of the constantly changing operational environment.

The Ministry of National Defence remains focused on the securing of Health and Safety across the fields of its activities.

In every unit of the Armed Forces.

The message, on the occasion of the Word Day for Safety and Health at Work, is clear.

The constant and unwavering observance of the stipulated Regulations is a prerequisite for the protection of the physical integrity and the personnel's battle-worthiness.

Thus we demonstrate responsibility and consistency towards the highest of duties, the protection of human life".
