2024 Institutional Investor Survey On Sustainability

The majority of institutional investors on both sides of the Atlantic consider sustainability risks in their decision-making, but differently. Traditional governance factors dominate the list of most important environmental, social, and governance considerations. The world's largest investors overwhelmingly believe that climate change will impact portfolios, but do not think climate risks are fully reflected in asset prices. The environment is substantially about climate change for many fund managers. While social factors play a limited role in investment selection, investors cite data security and privacy among the top ESG factors they explicitly consider.
