4/5/24 UPCS, Poss. of Ammunition by a Felon

(PEORIA, IL) Thursday, April 4, 2024, at approximately 6:00 a.m. members of the Peoria Police Department's Special Investigations Division (SID) and SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2000 block of W. Proctor related to an investigation into the Unlawful Distribution of Methamphetamine.


44-year-old Matthew M. Morris was taken into custody at the residence. During a search of the residence officers located and seized illegal drugs, currency, drug equipment, drug packaging, and ammunition.

Morris was subsequently arrested for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Unlawful

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition without a FOID Card.

Morris was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
