WASHINGTON, DC-"Give a hoot, don't pollute!"

Woodsy Owl may be turning 52 this September, but his stewardship message transcends the ages. That's why Natural Inquirer and Forest Service Conservation Education present their third Woodsy Owl LIVE distance learning adventure. Hosted by Forest Service employees and scientists, this series introduces learners to air and water pollution-and how we can help mitigate them.

Three pre-recorded episodes will drop throughout September, followed by a live question and answer session at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Sept. 22. You can submit questions by commenting on previous episodes or adding them to the YouTube live stream.

In the two previous Woodsy Owl LIVE learning adventures, Woodsy and friends discussed how we can "Lend a Hand and Care for the Land" and how climate change affects trees. All Woodsy Owl LIVE programs can be accessed through the Natural Inquirer YouTube Channel.

Interpretive centers will find these resources useful for engaging young forest visitors. To further visitors' learning journeys, these live episodes can be paired with the Woodsy Owl edition of the Natural Inquirer. This journal, written for middle grades and based on peer-reviewed science, explores research done in forests around the country.

Give a hoot today and tune into Woodsy Owl LIVE 3!
