Hon’ble Lyonpo visit to agricultural related agencies of Punakha and Wangduephodrang Dzongkhag

6 March,2024: As a part of familiarisation His Excellency the Hon'ble Sanam Lyonpo visited four agricultural related agencies of Punakha and Wangdue, viz Chimipang Royal project,(CRP) Agriculture Research and Development Center(ARDC), Regional National Seed Center(RNSC) and FCBL Cold Store. The main aim of visit was to understand the field realities and potentials of each agencies. Each agencies presented a comprehensive presentations of their agencies covering backgrounds, mandates, ongoing activities, achievements and constraints. His Excellency highlighted the prevailing economic challenges and outlined the opportunities for transformation in the agricultural sector that lies ahead. Pointing to the ambitious 13th Five-Year Plan (FYP) of the ministry, set to be finalized soon, the Minister emphasized the need for collective efforts to achieve the targets outlined in the 13th FYP. Lyonpo was accompanied by Director DoA.
