Troutman Pepper's Thomas McNeill Recognized for Pro Bono Work with Legal Aid of North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Thomas McNeill, an attorney in Troutman Pepper's Real Estate Practice, is the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award for the Charlotte office of Legal Aid of North Carolina. Award recipients were announced at the 109th Annual Meeting of the Mecklenburg County Bar.

As a nonprofit law firm, Legal Aid of North Carolina provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity. The Mecklenburg County Bar partners with Legal Aid of North Carolina to assist with volunteer recruitment and training.

In addition to his work with Legal Aid of North Carolina, McNeill regularly volunteers with the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. His professional practice focuses on commercial real estate due diligence and he has more than 30 years of experience working on a wide variety of deals for the acquisition and financing of complex real estate projects.
