“Türkiye is rapidly healing the wounds of the disaster of the century”

Speaking at the Key Handover Ceremony of the Gaziantep İslahiye Post-Quake Houses, President Erdoğan said: "We will neither rest nor stop until our final rightful owner citizen moves in their home. By joining forces with each other, we will overcome this challenge as well. We see that Türkiye is rapidly healing the wounds of the disaster of the century by displaying the solidarity of the century."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Key Handover Ceremony of the Gaziantep İslahiye Post-Quake Houses.

Underscoring that they have been working uninterruptedly to rebuild the earthquake zone, President Erdoğan noted that the number of the buildings that collapsed during the earthquake in Gaziantep was 4,126, and said: "We have completely removed the debris of 6,114 buildings, which either already collapsed or were to be urgently demolished. Also, the debris removal works of 11,554 out of 14,319 severely-damaged buildings were completed."

Stating that 10,698 houses will be delivered today to their rightful owners, President Erdoğan stressed that the construction of nearly 14 thousand houses is swiftly continuing in Gaziantep, and added: "We will neither rest nor stop until our final rightful owner citizen moves in their home. By joining forces with each other, we will overcome this challenge as well. We see that Türkiye is rapidly healing the wounds of the disaster of the century by displaying the solidarity of the century."
