Marquette employees between the ages of 18-79 may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study being conducted by the Medical College of Wisconsin at the Froedtert Health - Milwaukee campus.
The study is titled "Stand Up for Your Health: A Randomized Study," and is led by Dr. Jacquelyn Kulinski, a cardiologist at Froedtert and MCW.
The purpose of this project is to determine if reducing sitting time during the workday by using a sit to stand desk could improve health outcomes, especially in relation to diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Study participation involves:
Compensation of $300 for entire study completion ($100 per visit). You may also keep the sit-stand desk at the completion of all visits.
This study is looking for Marquette, MCW and Froedtert employees* who:
*Participation in this project must take place outside work hours, during a routine break, or during time off, and your supervisor will need to be notified of study participation (this applies only to the three visits to the research center).
