CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Gas & Water has closed Hawkins Road from Morgan Road to Sun Valley Road for water main leak repair work.

Motorists will be redirected to Morgan Road and Oak Hill Road during the work. Motorists are also asked to slow down and be alert to utility workers and their equipment when approaching the work zone or choose an alternate travel route if possible to avoid traffic congestion.

Low water pressure is affecting the vicinity and a water outage may be possible on Hawkins Road from Morgan Road to Jen Hollow Road.

The water main leak repair is anticipated to be finished, water service restored and the road reopened by approximately 11 a.m.
