MNEA honors the passing of Clarence Siebert

MNEA President 1977-1978

Former MNEA President Clarence Siebert passed away on May 17, 2024. A life-long educator, Clarence Siebert served as MNEA President from 1977-1978. During his presidency, MNEA membership grew across the state, dozens of locals won their representation elections, and MNEA grew politically stronger.

President Siebert was instrumental in creating and successfully hosting MNEA's first Women's Leadership Training Conference and Regional Minority Involvement Workshop. Prior to serving as MNEA President, Clarence was a master teacher in Hazelwood School District, mentoring countless emerging educators, leaders, and students.

Visitation and services honoring President Siebert will be held May 28 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO. Information regarding arrangements can be found here.

MNEA is deeply grateful for President Siebert's service to the educators and students of Missouri and his contributions to the growth and strength of Missouri NEA.
