SAN ANTONIO - Former Bismarck Century girls basketball standout Lauren Ware is NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Final Four bound.

Ware, a 2020 graduate of Bismarck Century High School, logged six minutes off the bench in the University of Arizona's 66-53 win over Indiana University in a Regional Final game of the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament on Monday, March 29 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

With the victory, Arizona (20-5) advances to Friday's national semifinal against top-seeded UConn, which reached its 13th straight Final Four when it beat No. 2 seed Baylor earlier Monday night.

Ware, a true freshman, is averaging 4.1 points and 4.0 rebounds per game for the Wildcats this season with 28 blocks.

While a prep basketball standout at Century, Ware helped the Patriots win two NDHSAA Class A girls basketball state championships in 2018 and 2019. Ware averaged 17.3 points, 11.1 rebounds, 4.6 blocks and 2.1 assists per game her junior season at Century.
