Bridge Replace SR 109 at Norfolk Southern Rail Line 719649N will be closure begins June 4, 2024, and will begin the closure, suggested off-site detour map

The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will begin constructing a new bridge on State Route 109 over Norfolk Southern Rail line 719649N on June 4, 2024. The old bridge will be demolished and closed for the project's duration until construction is completed.

The project would construct a new bridge over at SR 109 over Norfolk Southern Rail Line #713649N that will be built at the current location.

This project would include an off-site detour.

ADVISORY: Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
