For the first time in the City's rich sports history, the USA Triathlon Collegiate Club National Championships will take place April 13-14 in Mission Viejo.

This prestigious event is the annual culmination of the collegiate club triathlon season and an exciting weekend of competition featuring the top athletes from around the country. Starting and ending at Lake Mission Viejo, participants will compete in draft-legal sprint, non-draft Olympic-distance, and super sprint draft-legal mixed-relay triathlons. The timeline of events and route information is available online, so folks can join in the fun and cheer on the excitement.

Residents should be aware the following road closures on April 13 :

• Marguerite Parkway: Vista del Lago to Santa Margarita from 6 am - 3 pm
• Mustang Run: Los Alisos to Marguerite from 6 am - 3 pm
• Los Alisos Blvd: Vista del Lago to Santa Margarita from 6 - 11 am
• Olympiad Road: Lake Entrance to Marguerite from 6 am - 3 pm

Residents should be aware the following road closures on April 14:

• Marguerite Parkway: Vista del Lago to La Barca from 5 am - 11 am
• Marguerite Parkway: La Barca to El Toro from 6 am - 9 am
• Los Alisos Blvd: Vista del Lago to Entidad from 7 - 11 am
• Olympiad Road: Lake Entrance to Marguerite from 5 am - 11 am
