Topco Unveils High-quality Video Transmission Solutions in COMPUTEX

Presenting "Transformer" in COMPUTEX Taipei to Break Into MCU Market

Topco Scientific Co. Ltd. （Topco, TAIEX: 5434）, a leader in semiconductor and photoelectric materials integration, will exhibit at COMPUTEX 2023 from May 30 to June 2 in Hall One, on the fourth floor of the Nangang Exhibition Center. The company is expected to showcase the ViShare leading chip technology, which provides high-quality wireless transmission solutions with low latency and high reliability that compare favorably to the transmission through HDMI cables. Topco will also exhibit a Micro Controller Unit （MCU） from MindMotion SoC Solutions based on the Arm Cortex-M series processor. It can be used on various hardware and software ecosystem applications in automotive electronics, AI robots, smart home appliances, gaming keyboards, and more. The company will also exhibit Mini LED and Micro LED display modules from HCP Technology for a wide range of applications in consumer electronics and indoor LED displays.

Low Latency Wireless Video Transmission Codec IC For High-quality Equivalent to HDMI

Through the collaboration with ViShare, Topco Scientific provides "4K/60 low latency video codec IC" featuring low latency, high stability and high resolution as well as being applicable to wireless and wired video transmission to achieve a result paralleling the transmission through HDMI cables. Compared to traditional HDMI, this video codec IC not only breaks through the limitations of transmission distance and space, but also minimizes downsides of traditional wireless video transmission, such as long latency, unstable transmission and being unable to restore the original quality to shorten the time of end-to-end 4K wireless video transmission to 16ms, imperceptible to the eye, to bring video experiences to a brand-new level.

As the 5G network becomes more prevalent, this technology will bring revolutionary applications to conventional video transmission. Apart from consumer electronics and in-vehicle entertainment systems, it can also be applied to various fields like cloud games, cloud computers, drones, remote-controlled robots, and AR/VR devices.

Introducing LED COB Modules to Showcase Bezel-free High-resolution Large Displays

Besides the investment in high-resolution wireless video transmission, Topco also actively sets foot in fields including Mini LED and Micro LED to introduce LED COB (Chip-On-Board) modules developed by HCP Technology, achieving a transfer yield of nearly 100% by fully automated Mini LED mass transfer production lines.

Leveraging significantly improved flatness and uniformity, this LED COB module enables surface ink colors that compare favorably with OLED black screens to create seamlessly stunning visual experiences and has been adopted and applied to consumer electronics and indoor LED displays by major brands.

Eye-catching "Transformer" in COMPUTEX to Break Into MCU Market

The emergence of 5G communication and AI not only breaks through the bottleneck of video transmission, but also creates more opportunities for large displays. The increasingly smarter IoT, wearables and automotive electronics make controller applications essential for our daily lives. Topco introduces 32-bit MCU (microcontroller unit) from MindMotion SoC Solutions to actively set foot in markets like automotive electronics, smart appliances and consumer electronics.

According to Topco, in this year's COMPUTEX, the company will showcase a voice-activated transformer leveraging an MCU to control joint motions. The user can order the transformer to shake fists or shoot by voice commands; the robot can even smoothly transform into a vehicle, which is one of the highlights of Topco in COMPUTEX. This MCU, based on the software and hardware ecosystem developed by Arm Cortex-M series core, provides MCU solutions featuring high performance, low power consumption and high reliability for customers.
