Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly Rositsa Kirova and Kristian Vigenin and Members of the National Assembly attended the official ceremony of raising the flag of the European Union.

The ritual marking Europe Day - May 9, took place in front of the presidential institution. The anthems of Bulgaria and the European Union were performed.

The event was also attended by President Rumen Radev, the caretaker Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dimitar Glavchev, Vice President Iliana Yotova, the Mayor of Sofia Vasil Terziev, the caretaker Minister of Defence General Atanas Zapryanov, EU Commissioner Iliana Ivanova, MEPs, representatives of the Holy Synod, etc.
