Minister Wang Zhigang Meets Cambodian Minister Delegate Attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Industry, Science and Technology Chhem Kieth Rethy

　　On July 12, 2023, Minister of Science and Technology, Wang Zhigang, met with Cambodian Minister Delegate Attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary of State Chhem Kieth Rethy, who was visiting China to attend the 11th China-ASEAN Technology Transfer and Innovation Cooperation Conference held in Guangxi.

　　Both sides reviewed the progress of bilateral STI cooperation in recent years, and expressed their willingness to strengthen the collaboration. They agreed to take the opportunity of the China-Cambodia government-to-government technology cooperation agreement signed in November last year and convene the first meeting of the China-Cambodia Joint Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation as soon as possible. They also agreed to deepen cooperation in technology transfer, science and technology parks, new technology governance, and other fields to promote pragmatic development of bilateral STI cooperation.

　　Dai Gang, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation at the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology; Li Guozhong, Director-General of the Science and Technology Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; and HUL Seingheng, Chairman of the National Committee for Science and Technology of Cambodia, were present during the meeting.
