Sonoma County Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase, in concert with health officers from other Bay Area jurisdictions, issued a health order requiring all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear face coverings when indoors in workplaces and public settings, starting at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3.
Businesses are required to implement the indoor face covering order, and health officials recommend all employers make masks available to individuals entering their workplaces.
The order directs that face coverings shall be worn, regardless of vaccination status, over the mouth and nose, in all indoor public settings, venues, gatherings, and workplaces, such as, but not limited to: offices, retail stores, restaurants, bars, theaters, family entertainment centers, conference centers, schools, daycares, and State and local government offices serving the public.
Individuals are not required to wear face coverings in the following circumstances:
