Anna-Karin Stenberg leaves Vattenfall

Senior Vice President and Head of Business Area Markets at Vattenfall, Anna-Karin Stenberg, will leave Vattenfall during the second half of this year.

Anna-Karin Stenberg has worked within Vattenfall for eight years. Between 2008-2011 she held the position as CFO for Business Group Nordic and 2018 she came back and stepped into the position as Vice President Controlling for BA Markets located in Hamburg. For the past three years she has been Senior Vice President and Head of BA Markets.

"Anna-Karin has been invaluable to the success of Business Area Markets and developed the business to meet the challenges in the European energy market over the last few years as well as over the last very volatile year. Her contribution, dedication and leadership has clearly taken the business to the next level. She has also been an important part of the Executive Group Management. I really value her as a colleague and wish her all the best in her next step in life", says Anna Borg CEO of Vattenfall.

"To come back to Vattenfall in 2018 and getting the chance to explore BA Markets has been a great experience. I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of very clever and good people both within BA Markets and within the Group. I am so proud of how my management team, all leaders and all employees have contributed to Vattenfall. This goes of course not least for the achievements in 2022 - the most volatile year so far in the energy markets.

I will now start a new phase in life. Some call this to retire but I do not. I will still keep busy and have several assignments", says Anna-Karin Stenberg.

The recruitment process for the replacement of Anna-Karin has started and until a successor is in place, Anna-Karin will remain in her position.
