Readout of Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III's Call With Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov today regarding Russia's continued aerial attacks against Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure, as well as other developments on the ground. Minister Umerov highlighted Ukraine's most pressing needs to push back on Russia's war of aggression and provided an update on battlefield dynamics.

The two leaders reaffirmed the urgent need for the National Security Supplemental and pledged to remain in close contact.
