Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Coalaska Inc. dba Quality Asphalt Paving (QAP)
PROJECT NAME: LAS 34996
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: MP 10.5 of the Elliott Hwy
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Designated Material Site ADL 420038; Township 3 North Range 1 West, Fairbanks Meridian, within a portion of:
Section 14: Lot 5, that portion lying north of the Elliott Hwy subject to the 200' ROW for the Old Elliott Hwy and mining claim ADL 334960; NW1/4SW1/4 subject to the 200' ROW for the Old Elliott Hwy; E1/2SW1/4 subject to mining claim ADL 334960; and that portion of Mineral Survey No. 2169 situated in Section 14, located north of the Elliott Hwy, subject to the 200' ROW for the Old Elliott Hwy.
Section 15: Lot 6, subject to the 200' ROW for the Old Elliott Hwy; Lot 7, that portion lying north of the Elliott Hwy, subject to the 200' ROW for the Old Elliott Hwy; Lot 10, that portion lying north of the Elliott Hwy; and that portion of Mineral Survey No. 2169 situated in Section 15, located above the Elliott Hwy, subject to the 200' ROW for the Old Elliott Hwy.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The placement and usage of an asphalt batch plant in support of the Elliott Hwy MP 18-29 resurfacing project.
REQUESTED TERM: April 2024 - August 2024
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: May 3, 2024
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
