Naptown AntiDope Movement (NAM) Health Fair on Friday May 10 at People's Park in Annapolis

Annapolis, MD (May 3, 2023) - The City of Annapolis will host a Health Fair and Listening Session from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 10 at People's Park, 44 Calvert Street, Annapolis. The event will focus on issues including overdose prevention (Narcan and test strips will be distributed), mental health ambassadors, and tabling with partner organizations including Hope House, Luminis Health Pathways, Anne Arundel Recreation and Parks, Children's Museum, Charting Careeers, the Annapolis Police Department and the Anne Arundel County Department of Health.

The Health Fair is being presented by the Office of Mayor Gavin Buckley's Naptown Anti-Dope Movemeant (NAM) initiative, which seeks to assist residents with substance use disorder.

The Health Fair will also feature refreshments, face painting, hula hoops, prizes and giveaways, and employment opportunities from Starbucks, Rise and Shine Bakery, and Turn Around Thursday.

Live music will be performed by students from Wiley H. Bates Performing and Visual Arts' Apex Orchestra, Apex Band and Jazz Band throughout the Health Fair.

Mayor Buckley and his team invite the public to this free event.
