Suspect Wanted For Stolen Vehicle

New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with locating a suspect wanted for illegal possession of stolen things (a vehicle) and the alteration or removal of a vehicle's VIN (vehicle identification number) plate.

Wanted is Jamar Lewis (pictured), Black male DOB 01/16/1994. He was previously arrested in the 4600 block of Wilson Avenue by the Seventh District for multiple drug law violations and illegal possession of a firearm. Further investigation discovered the vehicle he was using when arrested had been stolen from Memphis, TN and had a swapped VIN plate.
