Put Your Pool in the Right Spot

How clean your pool stays depends heavily on where you put it.

Why? Put it under some trees, and you'll always have leaves in your pool.

You want to put your pool in an open area in your backyard. While landscaping and trees are beautiful, you want some space around your pool to keep leaves and debris out.

Check Your pH Level

As with any swimming pool, you want to check your pH level regularly.

What is the pH? This measure the acidity of your pool water. You want to watch your levels so you ensure your pool is disinfected and still healthy for your skin.

So, how do you know what level your pool should be at? Generally it should be between 7.2 and 7.6.

Cover Your Pool

An easy way to keep your Intex pool clean is to keep your pool cover on it when you aren't using it.

Not only will your cover keep leaves out, but it will keep pollen at a minimum. A cover also keeps out unwanted bugs, animals, and water fowl.

Measure Your Chlorine

All pools require chlorine, and you'll generally use chlorine tablets.

You don't want to indiscriminately put them in the pool, though. There is a correct amount. If you use too much, it's bad for your health.

Do clean your pool weekly during the swimming pool season.

If your Intex above ground pool is large, consider an automatic cleaner.
