Honor Earth Day on Saturday, April 22 by participating in these activities:

Buena Vista Creek Trail Cleanup

Join the City of Vista in participating in I Love a Clean San Diego's 22nd Annual Creek to Bay Cleanup event on Saturday, April 20, from 9 am to noon, rain or shine. Volunteers are sought to clean the Buena Vista Creek Trail at 1280 E. Hacienda Drive. Volunteers are supplied with cleaning tools and supplies.

Free Mulch Giveaway

In conjunction with Alta Vista Garden's Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 20, between 10 am and 3 pm, the City of Vista and EDCO will give away free mulch at the northeast corner of Brengle Terrace Park between the Moonlight parking lot and the gardens. The City is pleased to partner with EDCO Disposal and offer FREE mulch to Vista residents (while supplies last)! This is a self-serve, self-loading, and self-haul service, so please bring your own cans/bags, gloves, and shovels. Limit 3 cans/bags per vehicle. If you plan to haul your mulch in an open truck bed, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material. Alta Vista Botanical Gardens is located within Brengle Terrace Park at 1270 Vale Terrace Drive.

Earth Day at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens

Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, located within Brengle Terrace Park, hosts its 15th annual Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 20, from 10 am until 3 pm. This free community event features more than 35 vendors, food, a plant sale, a garden shop, live music, children's activities, door prizes, and more. Stop by the City's booth and learn more about our Climate Action Program! Alta Vista Botanical Gardens is located within Brengle Terrace Park, 1270 Vale Terrace Drive, Vista.
