Today, at the headquarters of the Bulgarian National Bank and in the presence of the Governor Mr. Dimitar Radev and the Members of the BNB Governing Council, an official ceremony was held to inaugurate Mr. Petar Chobanov as Deputy Governor in charge of the Banking Department and Member of the BNB Governing Council, and Mr. Andrey Gurov as Deputy Governor in charge of the Issue Department and Member of the BNB Governing Council.

Mr. Petar Chobanov and Mr. Andrey Gurov have been elected by the 49^th National Assembly pursuant to art. 12, par. 2 and art. 19, par. 1 of the Law on the BNB. Their term of office as Deputy Governors and Members of the BNB Governing Council will last six years and will start on 26 July 2023. They have taken office replacing Ms. Nina Stoyanova and Mr. Kalin Hristov, respectively.
