Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall to Headline Rep. Banks’ Defense Summit

Today, House Armed Services Committee Member Jim Banks (IN-03) announced that the Secretary of the U.S. Air Force Frank Kendall will speak at the 2^nd Annual Northeast Indiana Defense Summit in Fort Wayne on June 27, 2023.

Said Congressman Banks: "I'm grateful to Secretary Kendall for agreeing to take the time from his busy schedule to travel to Fort Wayne and speak at our defense summit. Defense industry leaders, policy experts, and government officials from across Indiana will all benefit enormously from his expertise. Secretary Kendall's presence is a testament to the critical role northeast Indiana plays in America's defense industrial base and I look forward to showcasing all the potential that our region continues to offer. Northeast Indiana should be proud of its contributions to our national security.

Last year's inaugural summit was a huge success and I'm confident that this year's summit will be an even bigger boon to northeast Indiana."

Other announced speakers include the Chairman of the Select Committee on China Rep. Mike Gallagher (WI-08) and Palmer Luckey, the founder of Anduril Industries. Rep. Banks' office will provide more information on the agenda at this year's defense summit when it's finalized.
