2025 Electrical License Renewal and Code Update Requirement

As of March 1, 2024, the State of Ohio has adopted the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC) and will require 2025 Toledo Electrical Journeyman certificate renewal through completing a 10-hour continuing education code update class. You will need to submit a certificate of completion with your 2025 renewal application.

Please note that the State of Michigan requires a 15-hour NEC 2023 code update for the 2025 renewal. You can substitute this certification for the Toledo 10-hour code update class requirement.
