Debates ICIL 2022

XPO, a leading global provider of freight transportation services, participated today in a roundtable discussion on technology and sustainability at the 18th edition of Debates ICIL held at DFactory, Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB). The theme for Debates ICIL 2022 is 'Technology, sustainability and talent. Keys to the supply chain'.

Sergio Gellida, technology and process improvement director - Southern Europe and Morocco for XPO, discussed the company's innovation strategy, as well as its firm commitment to process digitization and the reduction of environmental impacts in transport operations. He was joined at the roundtable by representatives of other technology leaders, including Fujitsu and Exotec.

Gellida said, "The digital transformation that we, at XPO, have created in recent years is a benchmark in the transport sector. We have incorporated solutions that streamline processes, enhance visibility and elevate the quality of service we offer our customers".

He added, "Importantly, our use of new technologies enables us to be even more respectful of the environment, reducing empty kilometers and fuel consumption on the road. This results in more sustainable freight transport operations and helps our customers meet their own environmental goals".
