City Water Main Replacement Projects to Start April 23

This work will take place over the course of the summer months and will start on Cheyenne Street between Acoma Avenue and Arapahoe Street.

During these projects, there will be various street closures within the construction zones as the projects progress. All customers affected by water service isolations will be notified separately.

Seven additional project areas are scheduled, including Dexter Place, the 200-300 blocks of Walnut Street and Prospect Street, Ram Avenue, Gateway Avenue between South Main Street & South Sherman Street, and Karen Street between East Sixth Avenue and East Eighth Avenue. The schedule will wrap up with the continued replacement of the water main in Main Street (Hwy 52) between Seventh Avenue and Riverview Avenue.

Construction zones will be marked, and motorists are asked to avoid those areas when encountered. Detour signage will be in place and drivers should obey all instructions.

This underground infrastructure work is being done ahead of the 2024 Strictly for Streets road resurfacing projects. The City of Fort Morgan Water Department thanks you for your patience with our effort to improve the aging water infrastructure.
