Strengthening ties with the U.S.

Minister Schulz will be travelling from Jan. 13-15 to strengthen Alberta's environmental and energy partnerships with the U.S. This will include discussions about Alberta's leadership in innovation and methane emissions reductions, as well as energy security.

The minister will travel with one staff member. Mission expenses will be posted on the travel and expense disclosure page.

Alberta's government is committed to working with its national and international partners to advance shared interests that can lead to new opportunities for people and businesses in Alberta and around the world.

Itinerary for Minister Schulz*

Jan. 13

  • Travel to Sacramento, California.
  • Meetings with state officials and industry stakeholders.

Jan. 14

  • Meetings with state legislators
  • Speaking event at the California Chamber of Commerce on technology and innovation to reduce emissions.

Jan. 15

  • Meetings with state agency leadership and local leaders.
  • Return to Alberta.
