Ready to party? Europe's hottest party destinations you can reach from London Stansted

The Ibiza clubbing season kicks off in May when several of the island's famed opening parties get underway at legendary clubs such as Pacha, Amnesia, and Ushuaia.

Clubbers heading out to the White Isle can fly several times a week from London Stansted with airlines including TUI, Jet2 and Ryanair.

Below we've picked out some of the best alternative destinations to Ibiza that you can reach directly from your local airport.

Magaluf, Majorca

If you're looking for neon-lights and bouncing nightclubs, Majorca's party capital should be at the top of your list. It's a paradise for sunbathers by day, and a party haven at night, with bars and world-class DJs. Jet2, Ryanair, and TUI all fly to Palma from London Stansted.

Playa Del Ingles, Gran Canaria

Spend lazy days under the sun and lively nights sipping cocktails in stylish bars on Gran Canaria's south coast. Playa Del Ingles has nearly 3km of golden sand, lots of water sports and beachfront bars. There's karaoke and live music in the Irish bars once the sun goes down, and there's a huge open-air dance floor at the Kasbah. Fly to Gran Canaria with Jet2, Ryanair and TUI.

Malia, Crete

Ayia Napa, Cyprus

Ayia Napa is one of Europe's original clubbing destinations, and it's just as popular now as it was then. It's got everything from loud karaoke bars to buzzing clubs and foam parties to quiet beach bars and trendy restaurants. Ryanair, Tui and Jet2 fly to Paphos, while Jet2 also fly to Larnaca.

Benidorm, Costa Blanca

You can have a great time in Benidorm without spending a fortune. You can dance all night long to club classics in English Square, where purple and blue neon will light up your night. Check out Sinatra's or Café Benidorm, or for the younger crowd, Bahamas or Beachcomber. The nearest airport is Alicante which is served by Ryanair and Jet2.

Hvar Town, Croatia

During peak summer, Hvar Town draws around 20,000 visitors a day. Prince Harry, Keira Knightley, and Daniel Craig have been spotted in this glamorous resort. Featuring everything from trendy beach clubs to cocktail bars that stay open till the early morning, Hvar is a perfect setting for a party holiday. Split and Dubrovnik are the closest airports and are served by Ryanair and Jet2.

Santa Teresa Gallura, Sardinia

Known as Montenegro's Cote d'Azur, Top Hill is the famous open-air nightclub with spectacular views over Budva. Many famous DJs, such as Fatboy Slim, Eric Prydz, and Roger Sanchez have played there. Sunny Beach, Bulgaria
