Carnival Paradise Rescues 27 People Adrift At Sea

Today at approximately 2:30pm LT, Carnival Paradise, while en route from Tampa to Roatan, Honduras, rescued 27 Cuban nationals who were adrift at sea and signaling for assistance.

The bridge team onboard spotted the vessel and turned the ship around to rescue them. All were taken aboard, given food and were seen by the medical team.

The US Coast Guard Sector Key West was notified, as well as Roatan officials.

Carnival Paradise is scheduled to arrive in Honduras on Mon., April 22.
