Cambridge Police Department Investigates Reported Sexual Assault

INVESTIGATION UPDATE May 19, 2024 - Cambridge Police Department Updates its Investigation into a Reported Sexual Assault

CAMBRIDGE, MA - The Cambridge Police Department continues to use all means and resources to investigate a reported sexual assault that occurred on May 17, 2024. The Middlesex District Attorney's Office has also assigned resources to the incident as we process gathered evidence.

On Friday, May 17, 2024, at approximately 9:18pm, police responded to the Cambridgepark Drive area for an assault in progress. The victim told officers the assailant was a masked man with a knife. Detectives processed a crime scene in a restroom of a commercial building, and began working with Massachusetts State Police and Middlesex District Attorney's Office to identify and search for the suspect.
