What would help or encourage you to walk or cycle more to work, school or during your leisure time? Angus Council is looking for your suggestions and ideas on what could be done to make Angus a cycle and walking friendly area.
Through the new Tier 1 fund, Angus Council is anticipating grant funding from Transport Scotland to support local projects and they want to hear where the people of Angus think that money should be spent. Formerly provided as Cycling, Walking and Safer Routes (CWSR), Tier 1 funding is now the main active travel delivery system.
Transport Scotland's long-term vision for active travel in Scotland 2030 is to make walking or cycling the most popular choice for shorter everyday journeys - by making it safer, easier and available to everyone. Helping to achieve many outcomes, including better health, having attractive, safe communities and increased economic activity. If you, your community group or organisation has any ideas, suggestions or plans on what could be implemented, please visit the Engage Angus project webpage and complete the short survey. The survey closes Wednesday 22 May 2024.
All proposals will be reviewed and assessed, with those considered to be the most viable options to go before the Council's Communities Committee for consideration.
