About S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook

S&P Global annually evaluates the sustainability efforts of leading companies by scoring them on corporate sustainability assessment (CSA) criteria, which measures governance & economic, environmental, and social dimensions. Distinctions are calculated against the top performing company in each industry, and exclusions are applied thereafter. S&P Global then selects the top 1%, 5% and 10% of the top-rated companies in each industry for inclusion in the Sustainability Yearbook. For the 2024 edition, more than 9,400 companies worldwide from 62 industries were evaluated, of which 759 companies were selected.
