LOS ANGELES - Mayor Karen Bass today released the following statement after a federal judge ruled that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program was illegal.

"This ruling shows why now more than ever, Congress must act to protect families by passing comprehensive immigration reform - but instead, the Republican majority in the House of Representatives is focused on wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on baseless, extreme impeachment measures. Here in Los Angeles, we will continue to fight to put people over politics and to ensure that every Angeleno is protected."
