Dr Vladimir Orlic Meets with Representatives of Serbian Diaspora in Czech Republic

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic met today in Prague with representatives of the Serbian diaspora in the Czech Republic, who informed him of their current position and presented their experiences of everyday life and work.

They told the National Assembly Speake that they deeply appreciated the opportunity for an open and constructive conversation, as well as his willingness to listen to their observations, views and ideas for the additional improvement of the position of the Serbian community, which can be a significant contribution to furthering connections between the diaspora and the motherland.

They expressed satisfaction with the support they have from their country today, as well as the excellent and fruitful cooperation they have with the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Prague, listing the many activities they conduct together to promote Serbian culture and preserve national identity in the Czech Republic.

In the course of the meeting, Dr Orlic thanked the representatives of the Serbian community for helping represent Serbia in the best way possible, pointing out that the state policy pursued by the President of the Republic Aleksandar Vuic and implemented equally by the Government of Serbia and the National Assembly, means caring for every one of our citizens and people wherever they might live. He told the representatives of the Serbian community that they can always count on their country, which they thanked him for, saying that they can definitely feel that support today. He also confirmed that the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia is ready to contribute to the realisation of the association's coming activities.

The meeting with Dr Orlic was attended by the President of Association "St. Prince Lazar" father Srdjan Jablanovic, President of Association "Luka Praha" Lazar Djorem, representatives of the "Czech-Serbian Association of Mutual Cooperation" Radim Panenka and Marian Stepanovic, as well as the President of Association "Lastavica" and member of the Managing Board of Association "Rodoljub" Jelena Ciric.
